Representatives of 60 international, European and national environmental citizens organizations (ECOs) from 28 countries met under the auspices of the European ECO–Forum in Bratislava, 7–9 December 2002, to discuss their demands and proposals to the Governments of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UN–ECE) in the run–up to the 5th Pan–European Environmental Ministers Conference, “Environment for Europe”, 21–23 May 2003.
