The Snap-Shot Survey was carried out jointly by Borrowed Nature (Bulgaria), Coordinadora de Organizaciones de Defensa Ambiental - CODA (Spain), Green Action (Croatia), Green Balkans (Bulgaria), Green Circle (the Czech Republic), Estonian Green Women’s Union (Estonia), the Interdisciplinary Institute for Environmental Research - INTER (Greece), Lychnidos (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia), Russian Socio-Ecological Union - SEU (Russian Federation).

The survey is a pan-European project within the activities of the “Environment for Europe” process organised by the European ECO Forum and was funded by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe and the Danish Environment Protection Agency.
